About the Organiser
Conflicts are Inevitable. You face them. I face them. We all face them. For something that is so widespread and forms such an integral part of their lives, How many of us are taught skills to deal with conflicts positively?
YCM is leading a youth movement to fill exactly this gap. YCM is India’s first Youth Conflict Management and Mediation Initiative. They are creating a culture where youth #AddressNotSupress their conflicts.
GOAL: To empower youth with the right skills to enable them to REALISE-RESPOND-RESOLVE their own deadlocks and fights in every domain of life.
Workshop Details
YCM is conducting a 2 series of Workshops – Make Difficult Conversations Easy! The workshops are beneficial for all youth between the age of 18-35. If you are a final year student and will be entering into the professional forum shortly, they recommend you join their Workplace Edition workshops. For all other students, they recommend the Student Edition workshops.
The Student Edition
Are you a Student? Have you been struggling with or avoiding difficult conversations with your peers or juniors or seniors or teachers or parents or managers at your internship?
Equip yourself with novel communication techniques to face these situations and also address your real-life conflicts!!

Workshop 3: Let’s Talk!

Are you a Final Year Student? Will you be joining a workplace soon? Prepare yourself to deal with situations where you might have to have difficult conversations with your juniors or peers or seniors or support staff!

Workshop Facilitators
The workshop will be conducted by YCM’s lead facilitators:
Kudrat Dev has diverse work experience in London and India as a Commercial Dispute Resolution Lawyer, a Conflict Coach, a Civil & Commercial Mediator accredited by the Civil Mediation Council, United Kingdom. She is a Chevening Scholar and completed her master’s degree in law and linguistics at SOAS, London.
She has represented clients in international arbitrations, negotiations, mediations and litigations in landmark cases with Khaitan & Co, India and has worked with leading mediation organizations in London such as Wandsworth Mediation Service.
She has conducted pioneer training workshops for experienced mediators of the Delhi government mediation centres, Art of Living teachers, young professionals and college students on conflict management skills. She has been invited by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as a Trainer on mediation and negotiation skills.
Pooja believes the key to preventing disputes and effectively addressing internal conflicts is self-awareness. She believes that the power to bring about a peace revolution lies with the youth. She has faith that the process of communicating compassionately will bring about a paradigm shift in the way we connect with others.
She has experience in diverse fields having completed her articleship from Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Mumbai before doing her Masters in Jainology and Comparative Religion & Philosophy. She is a Certified Yoga Instructor from Kaivalyadham and has also has a certification in Pre and Post Natal Yoga from Yoga Vidya Gurukul (Yogapoint).
