Why should you apply for the Parasol Foundation International LL.M? Well, top faculty, internships, and cultural exchange are just some of the many reasons!
Consistently ranked in the top 20 institutions in the world for its citations, Tel Aviv University is Israel’s first choice for students, especially as its graduates are the most sought after by companies locally and abroad. Global in outlook and impact, TAU advances research and pedagogy encompassing multiple disciplines, as its faculty strives to address the 21st century’s most pressing challenges through bold, interdisciplinary solutions.
TAU’s Buchmann Faculty of Law is home to many of Israel’s leading law professors and lecturers, joined by visiting professors from the top law schools in the US, Europe, and Asia. The faculty has a strong reputation for its excellent, world-renowned researchers, and is ranked first in research output among hundreds of non-American law faculties.
Prof. Ronen Avraham, Academic Director, says that the most prestigious program of the Buchmann Faculty of Law (the oldest faculty in Israel) is the Parasol Foundation International LL.M. This program features a strong focus on globalization as a context for legal studies and law-based discourse.
This program not only focuses on building the future careers of its graduates, but also on enriching their study with a diversity of legal perspectives in the classroom. Apart from the core three concentrations (business, human rights and technology), the Parasol Foundation International LL.M. has courses on the Israeli legal and social systems, as well as the ongoing complexities of the Middle East.
That is not all. The International LL.M. has a host of other attractive features such as:
Glocal Legal Practice
Highlighting the globalization aspect of the course, the LL.M. will include a new course: Glocal Legal Practice. With the cooperation of local law firms and organizations, TAU will provide LL.M. students with first-hand experience in Israeli law offices.
Classes are taught by TAU professors as well as visiting professors from all over the world who are true experts that share their experience and provide networking opportunities.
TAU’s International LL.M. students enjoy many extracurricular activities. The Program regularly offers the students various opportunities, including visiting the Supreme Court in Jerusalem and meeting Supreme Court judges. The program strives to take the students to hi-tech companies and NGOs so students have the opportunity to speak to legal departments in their specialization.
LL.M. students at TAU have various opportunities to broaden their CVs and gain apprenticeships as research assistants at the university.
TAU strives to show LL.M. students the diversity and beauty of Israel and sample different lifestyles and cultures. Some of the trip activities include the Annual Grand Tour – a two-day expedition to Israel’s most beautiful sites of religious and cultural significance. These include a visit to locations such as the city of Nazareth, an Israeli kibbutz, a Druze village, a Circassian town, and more.
The extremely flexible LL.M. program also enables participants to choose courses from a rich variety of English-language graduate programs. For instance, students on the business law specialization track can take courses from TAU’s renowned Business School.
Situated in Israel’s cultural, financial, and technological capital, TAU shares Tel Aviv’s unshakable spirit of openness and innovation, and boasts a campus life as dynamic and pluralistic as the metropolis itself. Tel Aviv, the city, and Tel Aviv, the university, are one and the same – a thriving Mediterranean center of diversity and discovery!
