webinar on regulation of free speech by anand college of legal studies

Anand College of Legal Studies is organizing a webinar on the topic, ‘Regulation of Free Speech – Where Are We Heading’ on August 6th, 2021.

About the Organiser

Anand College of Legal Studies is a legal foundation recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi since 2016. College is managed by Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal, Anand. It is affiliated to Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar

About the Webinar

Unlike the US, free speech in India is not absolute. Our Constitution, while guaranteeing the freedom of speech and expression, places “reasonable restrictions” on this basic human right. Journalists are often targeted by state authorities for their comments on social media.

In this backdrop, the webinar would explain regulating free speech in today’s world, and where are we, as a nation, heading?
