The Centre for Criminal Justice Reform and Research, NALSAR is holding a talk by Mr. Abdul Wahid Shaik titled “Guilty Until Proven Innocent: A View from the Dock“.

About the Speaker

Abdul Wahid Shaikh, a school teacher, was one of the 13 accused in the suburban train bombings of 11th July 2006: popularly called the 7/11 bombings.

He was acquitted of all charges nine years later in 2016. Wahid has authored Begunah Qaidi (‘The Innocent Prisoners’) [Amazon Link here], which provides us with a worm’s eye view of the criminal justice system [see review here].
