About DIYA

DIYA was conceptualised in the year 2006 by Revered Dr. Pranav Pandyaji (Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV)) and Late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam (Former President and Renowned Scientist).

The idea behind creating this platform was to channelize the energy of the young population of India in constructive nation-building initiatives such as reforming the education system, creating healthcare awareness, rejuvenating without medicines, promulgating yoga and other ancient wisdom, transforming villages, creating alternative employment opportunities etc.



About Gyan Sabha

Keeping in view of the overall objectives of DIYA, a platform was initiated in 2006 itself by the Mumbai Chapter of DIYA under the guidance of Dr. Pranav Pandyaji, which was aimed at inviting notable personalities from various walks of life to stimulate thoughts and create a conducive ecosystem for various thoughts to converge and ultimately make a difference at several societal and personal levels.

Prominent personalities such as Dr. Kiran Bedi, Prakash Amte, Dr Kiran Bedi, Smt. Sindhutai Sakpal, Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra, Dr. Srikumar Banerjee Chairman Atomic Energy Commission, Indias first space Astronaut Shri Rakesh Sharma, Jalpurush Dr. Rajendra Singh, Swami Atmapriyananda is the Vice-Chancellor of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Dr. Prakash & Mandakini Amte, Dr Narendra Jadhav, Brahma Kumari Shivani, Swamini Vimalananda and many others have graced the occasion in past.
