How did you apply for the internship?

I applied on the recommendation of my friend.

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

First day indeed it was excitement and jubilation for me but on the other side I was edgy and strung because it was my first internship.

I was bewildered that what will I do, as there wasn’t any clue from anyone.

At first I was half-hearted and anxious since I was going to speak in front of various delegates from various countries, however, it the address went well.

Main Tasks

As I was selected as one of the delegates in the IMUN conference 71.0.

Each individual was assigned one committee & topic and I got the topic – ‘Global wildfires : Impact on environment and resolution’.

My second task was to express my opinion on the environment problems of Haiti as I was assigned as a delegate of Haiti and my designation was UNEP_Delegate_Haiti.

Work Environment

It was precisely amazing as I got the chance to work with different delegates from various nations across the world.

They were very altruistic and tender-hearted people with very deep knowledge.

Good Things

Yes to be honest I learned a lot of things because we all know IMUN brings youth together from around the world to learn and share ideas from a set of experiences and background.

So indeed we shared a lot of new ideas in conference and during my one month internship we also got a chance to learn different essential skills like arguing, diplomacy, business development, leadership, marketing and sales.

Hopefully which benefitted me in my career developing journey.

Bad Things

Every coin has two sides so here also it was the same though the accommodation and resource was good enough to gain knowledge and experience.

However, due to the time bound restrictions we were marked as a limit because there were many delegates who were in queue to represent their opinion.

Stipend

No stipend

Details about accommodation and commute

As it was virtual so there wasn’t any accommodation and commute needed.

Anything else?

My best day of internship was when our authority arranged us a group meeting to know each other and make friends which can help during internship.

At last we all did our internship with grace and got loud applause from our senior delegates and authority.
