Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) was established in the year 2000 and is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
Ever since its inception VIPS has been committed to the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda that education is the “manifestation of perfection, already in man‟.
On March 17th and 18th , 2018 , we are converging the two very powerful stages of deliberations into one event titled, “VIPS Magnum Concilium‟. This event is expected to attract approximately three hundred participants from various corners of the country.
In all probability, international participation shall also add color to the deliberations. This event shall be held in our campus at A.U. Block, Pitampura (outer Ring Road).
About the Committees We shall be simulating the following committees:
1.United Nations General Assembly (SPECPOL), focusing on “Political Declaration on the Implementation of the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in persons”.
2. United Nations Human Rights Council, focusing on “The Rights and Relocation of Internally Displaced Persons with Special Reference to The Middle-East”.
3. Stakeholders‟ Meet, focusing on “The Necessity of Reforms in Rape Laws with Special Emphasis on Gender Neutrality and Marital Rape”.
4. Lok Sabha, focusing on, “Review Of Anti-Defection Laws”.
The entire event is captured, covered and officially reported by another set of students representing the Press.
Each photographer and reporter, with the help of an editor and under guidance of the Editor-in-Chief, shall study specific committees and council activities and reports/articles shall be continuously uploaded online throughout the conference in a dedicated Newsletter.
The Second round of delegate and Press applications are now open.
