The final year law students of Utkal University’s Law College are agitated as the college has not declared the results of their 8th and 9th semester.
The forms and the fees for the 10th semester have already been taken from the students. However, the schedule of the exams has not been released and even the exams are being postponed time and again.
Around 120 students of ULC (University Law College), Bhubaneswar and Madhusudan Law College (Cuttack) both affiliated to Utkal University, have taken the 8th and 9th-semester exams in the month of May 2018 and December 2018, respectively.
A total of 70 students of both ULC (University Law College), Bhubaneswar and Madhusudan Law College (Cuttack) have approached multiple authorities: the Utkal University’s Vice-Chancellor, the Controller of Examination, Utkal University, Mr. Sarat Kumar Majhi, all of whom did not engage with the students.
It is important to note that this issue has been going on since May 2018 and has major repercussions on the careers of many students.
A student on the condition of anonymity said, “The form-fill up for 10th-semester exams has already been done and the examination fees for the same has also been collected from the students. But, they have not even released the schedule for the exams. This step comes as a halt in our dreams to get a job or pursue higher studies at a renowned college.”
