UCLA School of Law Cyber Crimes Moot Court Competition [April 21, Los Angeles CA]: Register by Jan 16

The University of California, Los Angeles organizes annual external moot court competition for students from all law schools. The theme of the competition is Cyber Crimes and related issues.

The Moot Court Competition will feature an esteemed panel of renowned cyber law experts to judge competitors’ oral advocacy and brief writing skills.

The Competition will also entail expert speakers discussing the developments in the field of cyber law. A team consists of two law students attending the same law school. A team member is generally not allowed to be substituted unless there is a reasonable cause and approval is sought from the UCLA Moot Court Honors Board.

Each team is required to have a coach or advisor which may be full- or part-time
faculty member or a lawyer approved by a law school to coach and advise the students.
A team may have more than one coach or advisor, and one person may coach two teams
from the same school.

UCLA School of Law, 385 Charles E. Young Drive East, 1242 Law Building, Los Angeles, California 9009.

Who can apply?

The moot court competition is open to students from all law schools.

Registration:

Registration will be complete once form and fee both are submitted. Please fill the online registration form here.

Key dates:

  • Registration deadline: January 16
  • Moot Court Problem release: November 22
  • Briefs submission date: February 16
  • Moot Competition date: April 21

Registration Fee:

Registration fee is $300 per team. Registration fees can be paid via PayPal or by cheque.
