About UN Online Volunteering (UNV)
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. Online volunteering allows organizations and volunteers to team up to address sustainable development challenges – anywhere in the world, from any device.
Effective 1 January 2020, the Online Volunteering service is free of charge to all eligible partners. Eligible partners are: UN entities, Governmental or other public institutions, and Civil Society Organizations.
About Youth Co:Lab
Youth Co:Lab positions young people front and centre in order to solve the region’s most pressing challenges. Co-created in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth, so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2019, Youth Co:Lab was launched in India by UNDP India in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog
About the UN Online Volunteering Opportunity
Youth Co:Lab India team is looking for highly motivated volunteers with a strong research background, to support the team for research on Youth Empowerment in India.
The online volunteers will work over the next twelve weeks to support secondary research on Youth Empowerment with sub-themes like youth innovation and gender, climate action, COVID response, digital literacy and write articles and content for Youth Innovation Newsletters, reports and presentations and concept notes.
The online volunteer will be expected to create 2 products (articles, blog, presentation, newsletter etc) per week during the assignment.
Number of Volunteers Required
2 volunteers needed
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Engagement: 11-20 hours per week
Online volunteers with a strong research background and efficient writing and editing skills and background knowledge in youth empowerment space, demonstrated through previous projects is an asset.
The volunteers should be able to coordinate with the team virtually.
