Punjab Judicial Services Examination Preliminary Stage

Bare Acts are the backbone of any judicial examination. However, aspirants often find themselves underlining and marking everything and getting confused.

For getting the best information possible from the Acts, read each line of the sections at least once and mark what seems necessary. When reading the second time, skip the unnecessary information and read only that material which is marked important.

With the third and fourth readings, focus and revise only the necessary examination-based material and start making notes.

Aspirants can also use the index method strategy. For this method, take a print copy of the index of the Act. In front of each section, write the relevant keywords. This method is helpful for recalling important information without having to open a book before exams.

Nowadays, the pattern of the Punjab Judicial Services Examination is shifting from theoretical-based questions to situation-based.

For answering such questions, it is important to give extra attention to learning and understanding the law and not only mugging up the sections. The knowledge of the application of law in situation-based questions is very important from the Punjab Judicial Services Exam point of view.

Lastly, focus on the current case laws and current developments nationally and internationally. In Prelims, many times questions come from current developments as well.

Track your mistakes

If aspirants don’t want to make silly mistakes in the exam, they need to learn from them during their preparation. That is why tests series and question banks are important. It trains the aspirants to know how to attempt the maximum number of questions in minimum time.

We suggest during your preparation, write down where you are making mistakes and which subject is giving you the most difficulty.

Once you have identified the mistakes, correct them and learn from them so that you do not commit them during your examination.
