The University of Oxford Refugee Studies Centre’s Forced Migration Review issues a call for papers for the Oct. 2018 issue, Twenty Years of the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement.
In the twenty years since they were launched, the Guiding Principles have assisted many States in their responses to internal displacement, and have been incorporated into many national and regional policies and laws.
The thirty Guiding Principles apply across the displacement cycle: preventing displacement; protecting during displacement; upholding the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs); supporting IDPs in return, local integration or in-country resettlement; and, in cases where restitution is not possible, providing assistance to recover property and possessions.
Maximum length is 2,500 words, article, if accepted for publication, may well be shortened but the author will, of course, be consulted about any editing changes.
Deadline for paper submission is June 4.
