Duration of internship and timings

3rd January, 2017 – 3rd February, 2017

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

I was asked to reach court by 9:30 in the morning on the first day. When I reached there I met Ajay sir who is associate at Bharat sir office. Also I met to advocate Reetu Mam who is specialist in the family law relative case.

Bharat sir handled me a file of the case which contained all the details of the case and asked Ajay sir to give a brief of the case to me because after half hour I was going to attend the courtroom proceedings with Bharat sir.

Main tasks

The main tasks were the reading of the cases and attending proceedings. Also I was attending the all matter proceedings. There was main work is take the date for next hearing from court. Bharat Sir specially handles the criminal and negotiable cases and also family law cases by other associates.

Work environment and people

The working environment at the chambers of sir was very friendly and helpful. Sir helped me a lot in understanding proceedings, court procedures and other formalities. Ajay sir and Reetu mam who were also learning under sir were helpful and explained me everything in detail.

Best things

This internship for me was the best platform for learning courtroom proceedings and court manners. The timings were very flexible and Bharat sir was lenient with me. I learned many things because Bharat sir was not strict and I was able to ask even my small doubts easily.

Biggest Lessons

This was my best internship among all because I learned all the basics which a practicing lawyer should know. I will recommend all the second years who want to learn the basic things, must intern under his assistance.

Office Timings

From 9:30 AM till 2:30 AM. The timings were flexible and sir was not very strict in nature related to timings.
