About the University:
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, is established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006 and accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC.
About the National Human Rights Commission:
National Human Rights Commission has been constituted in accordance with the provisions of Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993.
About the Training Program:
It is often said that the inherent strength of a society, a culture and a system is judged by the way its women are treated and the role assigned to them by society. Gender equality is an important issue of human rights and social justice not only in India but also in the world as a whole.
The indispensability of women as reproducers of human societies has become an instrument of their enslavement. The Theme of the One-Day National Training Program is Protection of Rights of Women – Issues and Challenges.
The National training program on Protection of Rights of Women – Issues and Challenges are being organised by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab in collaboration with National Human Rights Commission.
The basic objective of the training program is to promote, encourage and initiate research related to the different issues related to the violation of Women Rights, including analyzing the various laws along with factual reality related with Human Rights Protection and to provides an introduction to women’s human rights.
Interested Participants are required to register by filling the google form through the link provided below on or before 14th March 2019.
The workshop is free of cost for all the students of RGNUL.
