First Day Formalities

There is not much of first day formalities. You will be asked to meet the Secretary and you will be provided with some papers of which you should take copies and keep so as to visit each place listed in the internship paper given by them. You will feel at home and there will always be people out there to help you out and guide you.

Overall Experience

(Good Things) If you are looking for an intern where you want to experience, observe, travel and learn then I think this will be the best pick! You will be provided with a paper which contains the list of places and activities which you will be visiting and doing  during your internship. The atmosphere is very friendly and students are encouraged to develop their knowledge.

I had a few more students intern along with me. Students from NLU Odisha, Sastra and a LLM student from the UK were interning along with me. You tend to get a good set of students from the law fraternity which makes the internship even more good.

Some of the activities you will be involved in are observation of Mediation proceedings, Lok Adalat, Visits to Cental (Puzhal) Jail, visitis to juvenile justice board etc.

(Bad Things) There is not much to be pointed out as bad but for only one thing , like any other government building this one too has its cons. Take ample of cold water with you if you are interning during the summer time in order to beat the heat !

There is no stipend, but the organization will compensate you for travel expenses.

All the best !
