Staff Strength:

05 Associate and 03 Interns

First day formalities and first impression:

On my first day, Mr. Sumit sir(founder) introduced me with all staff members of the firm and i was briefed about my work since it was my first internship.

I was asked to read the criminal and NDPS (Narcotics and psychotropic substance) cases which was currently on going and search the relevant judgement according to the ongoing stages of trials.

I was always motivated by the associate advocate working there and they taught me how to observe the ongoing trials in a courtroom.

They always correct me where i was wrong and they also taught me about some clerical work like PF form submission, certified copy filing etc

Main tasks:

As usual, I had to reach at court around 9:30 am and maintain diary of my usual work like what i observe in courtroom like cross-examination, chief etc.The courtroom experiences are finally appealing.

After court, i had to reach at office around 4pm and i was asked to submit my daily report on cases which i attended.

Mostly, I was assigned to visit Tis Hazari court with Rovin sir and sometime patiala house court with Pradeep sir and Roshni mam.

Good things:

Finally, i learned a-lot and very good environment for the interns at Sumit Sarna & partners. They had lot of cases in various field like matrimonial disputes, NDPS act, criminal cases, property related issues etc.

Anything else, lessons learnt etc

We gotta work hard in that field and relate things which i learned through book with practical applicability.

Stipend- Nothing
