Internship Opportunity: SoCo-GNLU Rural Digitisation Programme [Feb 1-28, Koba, Gujarat]: Apply by Jan 28

About the organization:

SoCo- Socially Connected, a Gujarat, Assam and Bihar based NGO, in collaboration with Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is undertaking a Rural Digitisation Programme in Koba village, Gandhinagar.

Under this program, SoCo aims to create an online portal which serves two objectives, viz. to act as an information portal about Koba to outside world and to act as a single-window portal for availing all government services available online, obtaining information about offline government services and the procedure to obtain them, and to get latest updates about Government of India and Government of Gujarat welfare schemes and legislations.

For the purpose of this project, SoCo is opening internship opportunities for college students (Under-graduate/Post-graduate) from recognized colleges and universities.

It is a four week internship program which involves both field work and research assignments.  An intern would have to dedicate 8-10 hours/week and can do the internship even post classes in case he/she is attending classes during this period.

Research work revolves around policy research and includes researching on various Gujarat government and central government welfare schemes and policies. Field work involves interacting with various stakeholders including beneficiaries, government officials, and academicians among others regarding government schemes and policies and conducting of capacity building sessions in and around Koba.

The internship opportunity is open not only for students with a background of law or public policy but even for students having other background.


On successful completion of internship period, interns will be provided with a certificate.

Internship Period: 1st February, 2018- 28th February, 2018.

Last date for sending application: 23:59 hours, 28th January, 2018.

Slots: 4 interns.

Qualification: UG/PG student with working knowledge of Gujarati and a good command over English.
