The global outbreak of COVID-19 has significantly impacted the football industry with major sporting events coming to a stand-still and posing new challenges to the professional sports ecosystem. In the light of the current pandemic, the Centre for Sports Law and Policy (CSLP) of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad is conducting an International Webinar on the ‘Impact of COVID-19 on the Football Industry’.

About the Speakers
Mr. Dev Kumar Parmar, who is an International Sports Attorney, and Registered Broker with the FA `The Football Association” England. He is the Sole Director of Parmars, a leading law firm which has its base in the UK and Spain; he is also the Legal and Governance Director of the British Volleyball Federation and Academic Director at ISDE(Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia), Spain. He was appointed to the Bar by The Honorable Society of the Inner Temple, he has also advised FIFA and many times.
Other than that he has assisted top-class athletes and coaches from the English Premier League.He has also played a key role in various seminars at various institutions including the University of Cambridge, Oxford and the London College of Economics. He has also been invited to speak at the Youth Justice Council for England and Wales.
In 2012, Dev was nominated for both the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games ‘Inspiring Person in the Community’ Award and as a Barclays ‘Future Black Leader’ for the Top 100 of 2013.
Mr. Tarun, who is an Assistant Professor (Research) at Gujarat National Law University and Member, GNLU Centre for Sports and Entertainment Law.
Mr. Deep Ray, is an International Sports Lawyer, he has prior experience of working at the Spanish sports law firm: Vandellos Sports Law. Currently, he is working as an independent Sports lawyers and works closely with several players, clubs, intermediaries in India as well as in other Asian and European countries. He primarily works as a dispute resolution lawyer and represents parties before FIFA, CAS and the AIFF.
Ms. Apoorvi Jha, who is an International Sports Lawyer, She has prior worked with many reputed law firms like Tannuri Ribeiro Advogados, Brazil; which handles high profile cases of many famous sports personalities and several big football clubs. She has also represented several high profile cases at FIFA and CAS.
Ms. Tanvie Hans, who is a prominent football player and Captain for Banglore United FC in Indian Women’s League. She has also played for English clubs like Tottenham Hotspurs and Fulham. Other than that she is the only English women footballer of Indian Women’s League, and first woman footballer to play in men’s league in India.
