First Impression , Infrastructure
The office is in Lajpat Nagar. The infrastructure of the office is pretty good , air conditioned and filled with numerous law books.
When I visited, Sir seemed to be quite packed with his schedule but still he took a quick interview by asking basic law questions and my interest in this field. Sir also has a cooperative and hard-working team who gave me a warm welcome.
Main Tasks
I had to assist Sir in court proceedings, take notes of the cases and dates, prepare summary of FIRs, drafting, make reports on the work I am learning.
Interestingly, I got to learn what terms are used in Courts like Ahalmad room, Filing Vakalatnama, Importance of Stamps on notices etc. I also used to attend case parties and list their documental requirements.
I also visited Family Court and worked on Mediation proceedings in Saket Court Complex.
Work environment and people
The work environment was amicable as well as disciplined. The team was really hard working and punctual.
Everyone used to have meals together. Sometimes after a hectic day Sir would take us to restaurants.
I was assigned tasks as other team mates and Sir was too approachable to ask any queries.
Best Things
One of the best things was that Sir has an enthusiastic personality and to hear him arguing instantly was one of the best part.
