Senior Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications under the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry
Duties: Under the superintendence and direction of the Registrar, the Senior Examiner of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications oversees examined application for registration of Trade Marks as per the provision of Trade Marks Act, 1999 and Rules framed thereunder. Senior Examiner is also assigned to hear show cause matters and authorize to accept Trade Marks application for registration. Senior Examiner can be assigned any other work related to the subject by the Registrar.
Number of Vacancies
Education: Degree in Law of a recognized University.
Experience: Three years’ experience in handling court cases and other legal matters or matters relating to Trade Marks or Geographical Indications. NOTE-I: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
