About the seminar
You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its women”-Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Over the past two decades the world has witnessed significant progress in plummeting the inequality between women and men, with continuous development of international and national legal frameworks protecting women’s rights.
Exploring how law and society can create an enabling environment for gender equality and women empowerment is the focus of the School of Law and Justice, Adamas University through the ‘One Day Seminar on Women, Law and Social Development’ to be held on March 16, 2018.
The seminar is aimed at acquainting the participants with the Women & Law in Contemporary India and its emerging dimensions in a global scenario. It will focus on the rights perspective as well as crimes against women with the proper understanding of the laws, its procedural intricacies and judicial decisions aimed at strengthening the position of women at home and outside.
