The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) is a National Law University located in Patiala, Punjab, India. It was established in 2006 by the Punjab Government as a university dedicated to the field of Legal Education. The first vice-chancellor of the University was Gurjit Singh.
About the Seminar
The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab in collaboration with The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM) is organizing a One-Day National Seminar on “Role of IPR in a Global Economy: Challenges & Issues” on 11th October 2019 at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. Students, professionals, and academicians from all over the country will attend and present their research papers at the conference.
The Seminar will provide the participants with an understanding of IP laws and the extent to which it protects inventions and designs. The seminar will consist of a number of sessions in which presentations on various aspects of IPR will be given by experts and practitioners, followed by a discussion. The conference will be summed up with the publishing of selected research papers in form of a book with an ISBN number.

Call for Papers
Submission of abstracts: 23rd September 2019
Full paper submission: 7th October 2019
All abstracts and full-length papers shall be sent on email id: ipr.rgnul[at]gmail.com.
An abstract should contain 300 – 350 words accompanied by a brief profile of the author indicating his email ID, contact number and official address. The paper should not be of more than 6000 words.
It must be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with 1” margin on all sides with 1.5 line spacing using MS Word.
Footnotes shall be typed in Times New Roman, Font size 10 and Citations must be in accordance with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation, 20th Edition. A Uniform Formatting Style must be strictly adhered to while submitting the full papers.
