School of Law Christ University National Moot Court Competition 2013 [12-15 Sep]; Register by Aug 27

It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that the School of Law, Christ University is conducting its 4th Annual National Moot Court Competition between 12 and 15 September 2013.

School of Law, over the past 3 editions of SLCUNMCC has seen NUJS-Calcutta, NLIU-Bhopal and KLE-Bangalore win the competition. The level of judging over the past years have been of exceptional Standards with Supreme Courts judges, Judges of various High Courts across the country and plenty of senior counsels from far and near judging the different round of the moot.

We have, over the years, emerged as one of the most sought after Constitutional Law Moot Court Competitions of the country. This year’s moot problem has been drafted by Prof. Shamnad Basheer. Professor Basheer joined NUJS as the first Ministry of Human Resource Development Chaired Professor in Intellectual Property Law. He has also started several initiatives such as SpicyIP, IDIA, P-PIL and Lex Biosis. He is regularly consulted by the Government and Parliamentary Committees on IP policy issues and legislations.

This year’s moot problem deals with a blend of intellectual property law and constitutional law matters. The Competition will enlighten us about the various nuances in this particular field of law and expand our horizons within the legal world.

The Official Schedule, Moot Problem, Online Registration Form and Official Rules of the competition can be found here.
