SBI Youth for India is a fellowship programme initiated, funded and managed by the State Bank of India in partnership with reputed NGOs.

It provides a framework for India’s best young minds to join hands with rural communities, empathise with their struggles and connect with their aspirations.

This is a fellowship programme funded and managed by State Bank of India.

It is meant for highly motivated, outstanding young professionals and fresh graduates between the ages of 21-32 as on commencement of the batch.

Applicants must be Indian citizens and at least graduates, at the commencement of the batch.

Selection Procedure

Important Dates

June 10: Last date for submission of the completed application form.

June 13: Shortlisted candidates to be invited for a personal interview.

July 3: Candidates selected to be Programme Fellows will be intimated.


The programme will be for a duration of one year comprising of two batches. The first batch will join in August 2015 and the second batch in October 2015.

This is a 13 month full time fellowship programme and the fellows will be required to stay near the project site in rural locations. The staff of the partner NGO will assist in finding the fellows suitable accommodation.

Programme Structure

  1. A monthly allowance of 15000 INR for the duration of the programme to meet your living expenses.
  2. A monthly allowance of 1000 INR for the duration of the programme to meet your transport expenses.
  3. The cost of the return 3AC fare from your residence to the project site location as well as expenses incurred on travelling for training programmes.
  4. You will be covered by a med claim policy.
