First day formalities
Due to restrictions on mobility due to the Coronavirus, it was a virtual internship. We were introduced to other co-interns and to Sir over a video call and were given a brief of our tasks to be done during the internship and what is expected from us.
My tasks done during the internship varied from time to time. These included:
- Drafting a Written Submission before the High Court for X V. Union of India (W.P CRL. NO. 1082/2020)
- Drafting the impleadment application under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
- Research on various case laws and judgments.
It was a major learning experience as I learned a lot of new skills in the duration of the Internship. Sir communicated with us directly, that too through frequent video calls and voice notes, which helped overcome the obstacle of lack of physical interaction.
As any virtual internship would have, the hindrance of movement proved to be somewhat a barrier for better communication. The workload sometimes may require to work for late hours, another problem due to working from home.
Accommodation, commuting to office
N/A as it was a virtual internship.
