Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College, Sangli, (Maharashtra) is established by one of India’s prominent and esteemed educational institutions Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune.
The college was established by Hon’ble Dr. Patangrao Kadam, Founder of Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune to fulfil the dream ‘Social Transformation through Dynamic Education’, and with the object to provide legal professionals and social engineers to the society.
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law College is organising ‘National Research Poster Competition’ & ‘National Draftsman Competition’ on 5th March 2020 for the Law students and we believe that these competitions will provide a platform to students of law to sharpen their minds, to develop their skills and showcase their legal knowledge.
RULES FOR THE COMPETITIONS
RESEARCH POSTER COMPETITION
Participants can prepare a research poster on any socio-legal issue.
Research Poster shall be in ‘Digital form’ only.
Participants shall observe rules of research methodology while preparing the poster.
Each team will get 15 minutes for presentation of their poster(12+3)
In support of Research, Poster participants need to submit a research paper (not more than 1500 words).
Topic to the draft bill: “Live- in Relationship”
Participants shall follow the rules of drafting a statute.
Bill shall be comprised of not more than 15 sections
Draft Bill shall consist of- short and long title, object and reasons, Preliminary provisions, Main Body of the statute and miscellaneous provisions.
Each team will get 20 minutes for presentation and justification.
The draft must be prepared in English language only.
The bill should be typed on A4-sized paper.
The font used must be Times New Roman, size 12, double line spacing, and One-inch margin on each side.
The font of footnotes must be: Times New Roman, Size 10, single line spacing. Page numbers must be given at the Top Right-hand corner.
All UG students can participate in the competition. (Three Year Law and Five Year Law Course)
Each team shall be comprised of two participants.
Participants must carry college Identity cards
Registration fee: Rs. 500 for each competition
One team can participate in both competitions
Content in the research poster and draft must be original and acknowledged
Organizers have reserved all rights regarding competitions. Any required change can be made subject to the previous intimation.
Selected 5 entries will be invited for the presentation and justification of work.
