Brief Laws, a legal website that provides summaries of essential judgments, is inviting applications for a remote internship with the organization, from law students.

About the Organisation

Brief Laws is a legal website that provides summaries of essential judgments in the most simplistic manner to assist lawyers, law students, and others interested in law.

The objective is to increase productivity and cut downtime spent searching the judgments by providing a starting point or point of reference through summarising lengthy judgments in the form of case summaries, including the relevant paragraphs, and providing a link to the judgment at the end of the case summary. They also have blogs on different areas of law.

Brief Laws invites applications for a remote law internship with the organization from law students.

Responsibilities of the Intern

Legal research, drafting case summaries, and writing blogs

Mode of Internship

Remote internship

Internship Duration

One month, subject to extension.

Eligibility

3rd year to the 5th-year students (5-year course) or 2nd year & 3rd-year students (3-year course). 

Skills

1. Excellent command of the English language.
2. Flair for writing and basic research.
3. Analytical bent of mind.
4. Good deductive reasoning skills.
5. Ability to work on MS Word.
