First impression, first day formalities
On the very first day, we have to give an application of joining the internship at the office followed by an entry in the office register. After this, you will be added to a WhatsApp group where all the information will be shared.
Firstly the internship coordinator will tell you all the rules and regulations of the organisation, which you have to strictly follow.
You don’t need to pay any money for joining internship. The office is in a rented hall but have enough space to accommodate 40 interns.
Main tasks
The daily tasks will be posted on the WhatsApp group with timing and location. Each day you have to go to different places to experience different things.
On the first day, I visited a homeless shelter which is run by PUCL and acquired some knowledge about how it works, Then we have a lecture on the condition of homeless people in Jaipur as well as in India.
Then I had Court Visits (Session Court, Family Court and High Court), Police station and mahila thana visits where we were told about its working.
We also prepared a play on Women empowerment which is to be shown at different places sometimes even outside the Jaipur.
Work environment and people
The director of PUCL, Kavita Srivastav Mam has energy like the sun. Definitely, after your internship, she will be your source of inspiration. Apart from her the other staff is also very supportive and affable in nature.
Your co-interns will be from different universities which will help you to have an idea about the environment of other law colleges of India.
There are many nearby PGs which offers rooms at very reasonable price.  Probably there will be a list of PGs in the confirmation letter with their contact information.
Best thing
Interacting with lots and lots of different people and also saw the realities of the society in which we live in.
I can’t expect more than what I have got from this internship.
Bad thing
This internship can’t let you to come back to your home.
Also, the travelling expense of Jaipur is too much, but it can be reduced by taking public transport like buses, sharing auto…etc.
Interesting places and chill
Firstly it will be your good luck that you have  holidays during the internship. But if you get, then Jaipur have many interesting places like GT mall, WTP, Amber fort, Jaigarh fort, Nahargarh fort, City palace…etc.
Overall rating
No stipend. The main reason is it is a non-funded organisation.
Be disciplined in front of Kavita Mam and also try not to get internship with the help of any external source.
Never ever call them for conformation or any other thing, if you have any doubt convey it through the mail.
