STUDENT DETAILS – AUSHI SARANGI, 4th Year, KIIT School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
NAME OF THE ORGANISATION – PHOENIX LEGAL, NEW DELHI
TEAM STRENGTH – 5 Partners but most of the work was assigned by the Principal Associates and Associates.
DURATION AND TIMINGS – 1st February to 27th February, 2017, Monday to Friday, 9:30 Am to 6:30 Pm ( Beyond 6:30 depending on the work).
ACCOMODATION – I lived in a PG in Amar Colony, Lajpat Nagar and used to travel by metro from Kailash Colony to Govindpuri Metro Station which is the nearest station to Okhla Industries, Phase III ( Phoenix Legal Office).
APPLICATION PROCEDURE – I obtained this internship through my college Placement Cell.
FIRST IMPRESSION/ FIRST DAY FORMALITIES – I reached office ten minutes before time on the first day and waited for Neha Ma’am. She gave me all the details of the office and responded to all my queries.
She asked me to submit the personal detail form which was sent to me while confirming my internship.
On the first day of my internship I was shown my work station, informed about the procedures, work timings.
I was more than excited to use the legal portal during my internship and hoping positively to become a pro at it at the end of the month.
WORK – Phoenix Legal was divided into 2 teams that is litigation and non-litigation team and I was assigned work from both teams.
The work environment is professional without being stifling. The Partners and Associates are all extremely approachable and friendly. The associates make it a point to ensure that you are busy with work at any point of time.
The interns were given so much importance that the work progress would be supervised by them and thus I was taught the importance of multi-tasking and completing targets on time by such hourly supervision.
The best thing is that the office celebrates the birthday of every individual who is a member in the office.
STIPEND – The stipend of Rs 5000 for one month as per the policy.
DRAWBACKS – There was nothing bad but I would like to put one suggestion that the office must conduct an induction programme for all the interns.
