Online Internship Opportunity @ The Bleached White [July 10 – August 20]: Applications Closed

About the organization:

The Bleached White is a Volunteer Based Organisation (VBO) that aims to address various gender discrimination and human rights issues through knowledge-sharing and action.

Through offline sessions, The Bleached white has been challenging the discriminatory practices against women and ‘LGBTQI’ community. Bleached White had sessions in various schools and colleges to sensitize students about gender rights in Kerala and Uttar Pradesh. From this year, they are planning to take work of ‘The Bleached White’ online also.

Location of the office: The Bleached White, Chelamala hills, Cherukara, Malappuram(679340), Kerala, India.

Type of internship:

This is an opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience in legal work applied to non-conventional contexts.

The work of Legal team involves writing articles, drafting legal statements to be published on behalf of the organization and also to look into any legal discourse that may arise from time to time which may include filing RTI, PIL, drafting of legal documents etc.

The intern would also enjoy the added benefit of being guided by an active team of legal experts.

8 (eight)

Duration of internship:

The Bleached White’s internship program is open from 10th July to 20th August. Candidates may apply for 4 weeks/30 days between this period.

Who can apply?

The Bleached white welcomes and encourages internship applications from students pursuing Law, Social Work and Visual or Mass Communication courses.

Priority consideration will be given to applicants who have exhibited an interest in human rights, social and legal issues, and an eagerness to interact, learn and teach, for example by their voluntary work or activism on relevant causes.

Location:

This is an online/work from home internship but if feel convenient to us and agreed by all interns, Bleached White can extend internship period for one week and intern may get a chance to interact some eminent persons working for gender and human rights in Kerala.
