Mode of the Internship

Due to the lockdown and travel restrictions in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, I opted for the online mode of the internship.

1st July 2020 to 31st July 2020

Application Process

I applied directly via mail by sending my CV and SOP at office[at] with the subject: Internship Application.

First Day Formalities and Initial Impressions

It being an online internship, my first interaction was via telephone. I was asked about my course, my preferences, and career goals. After that, I was briefed about the work culture and ongoing matters. I was added to the office WhatsApp group where the other selected interns were also added.

Work Culture of the Organisation

Advocates under the law firm are very courteous and sociable yet professional. The interns are assigned work by Sir directly. They are very supportive and always ready to provide all the assistance required for the tasks provided.

Student Review

In this month-long internship, I learned about multiple areas of law. I learned about Arbitration and Conciliation, Mediation as the most effective method to solve disputes, Labour laws and employee rights under COVID-19, the clause of ‘unclean hands’ for the plaintiff, family law and women’s property rights, Company Laws, Insolvency and bankruptcy laws, provisions related to the role of RP and operational creditor, Laws related to cycling on roads in India and abroad.

I was lucky to get a practical learning experience, knowing about various sectors of law, and researching a diverse set of laws widened the scope of my legal knowledge.

More preference is given to the practical application of the law than theoretical knowledge. Due credit was given for every work done by the interns.

Bad Things

There were no bad things.

No stipend.

Number of Interns Required

Due to vast areas of practice and a lot of matters, many interns are allowed round the year. Law students studying in any year can apply to enhance their legal knowledge.
