Experience, Main Tasks, Lessons Learnt

As a student of Symbiosis Law School, Noida, I had the pleasure of being a part of IJALR where I was entrusted with the responsibility of writing articles and blogs on various contemporary legal topics and issues. The organization is a peer reviewed journal which is run by Mr. Aarjav Jain, a penultimate year student of HPNLU Shimla along with a board of senior professors and governmental officials. Recently the journal also got indexed in Manupatra.

I had sent in my application through their website by submitting by CV which was followed by a one–to–one call with Mr. Aarjav who asked be some basic questions as to why I wanted to be a part of this organization and the main responsibilities I was entrusted with.

Work Environment

The work environment was highly energetic and motivational where Mr. Aarjav encouraged and helped all the interns personally. Also, the interns were given the choice and opportunity to choose the topics of their own choice and research and write upon them. When the articles got published finally, we were given feedback as to how we can improve and write better.

Legal research and backing with facts was highly encouraged and was given due recognition. Even though the internship was completely online, I personally did not feel any feeling of missing out.

Good Things

There were many good things throughout the internship which were as follows:

  • Certificate of Internship.
  • Motivation and inspiration on every task.
  • Personal One – to – One guidance wherever one got stuck.
  • Publication opportunity on one’s own name.

This internship helped me refine and develop my research and writing style and motivated me to become better with each and every task.
