Name of the Organisation Where you Interned and its Full Address

VAIDHA Legal, Qr No- C/1, Railway Colony, Barbil, Keonjhar Odisha-758036.

Duration of the Internship

September 21, 2020, to November 25, 2020.

How did you apply?

I applied through Internshala portal where this role was listed by them. They shortlisted me and gave me a selection task and I qualified that too which confirmed my Internship with them.

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

As it was a virtual internship so on the first day the fresh batch of interns were asked to introduce themselves to the stakeholders as we all were made to join a single WhatsApp group for the purpose of group communication.

Main tasks

Our main task was to get published on their official site at least four times. We had to choose four major recent legal events as topics on which we had to prepare detailed articles. As VAIDHA is a free journal that publishes multiple articles, research papers, and interviews which can be used as a resource by the people related to the legal field, and apart from that non-legal individuals can also dive deep into their content if they are interested in doing so.

Work environment

As it was an online internship so the work was well known by everyone who was interning with them. We had awesome coordinators who helped us in preparing our article and its content. All in all, it was a great working experience with them.

Good things and bad things

Good things-

  • Interactive coordinators
  • Good batch of Interns
  • A healthy learning environment
  • Best place to intern for the very first time

Bad things-

  • None to be noted

Stipend (if any)

No stipend.

Accommodation, commuting to the office

None. As it was work from home.

Anything else? Like: what you did to chill out, lessons learnt etc.

I learnt a lot many new things but some specifics are-

  • How to communicate throughout the hierarchy
  • How to frame proper legal language and prepare legal articles
  • Learn how to do citations properly
  • Had a good deep dive in legal researching
