I applied online by sending my CV to info[at] and after qualifying an online interview the confirmation mail was received.

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

My internship was under the Virtual Internship Program organized by the firm. The entire program was structured one and under the guidance of senior associates and partners of the firm.

Main tasks

I was working under Associate Advocate Manmeet Singh Marwah, and my tasks were related to research and drafting on a few of the ongoing cases before the Hon’ble Supreme Court, NCDRC, NCLT and RERA.

I worked on various propositions related to RERA, Company law and Consumer Laws. Every day I got different research propositions of ongoing cases and I also assisted in drafting pleadings.

During my internship, I was also asked to write an article on “IBC Amendment 2020” and to make written submissions of the argument before the Hon’ble NCDRC, the hearing which was scheduled online. Also, a meeting was conducted via Zoom with the Managing Partner Rajesh Rai, Advocate where we discussed the laws and their applicability in the concerned matters and research to be done before the next date of hearing.

Good things

The associate under whom I was working was extremely helpful and throughout guided me whenever I was struck with some query and required clarification on any legal issue and he made sure that I understand the proposition well so as to proceed with my research and drafting.

Bad things

The only thing bad during this internship was the pandemic due to which I could not visit courts physically was not able to do my internship in Delhi as I am from Madhya Pradesh. It would have been a wonderful experience if it was possible to do this internship offline. Apart from that the Virtual Internship Programme under which I was selected was also good and properly organized so as to make sure that I learn something during this period.

No stipend.

Accommodation, commuting to the office

Since the internship was online I did it from my home.

Anything else, what you did to chill out, lessons learned, etc.

If you really want to enhance your research and drafting skills I will suggest you apply for this internship and learn something during this pandemic.
