Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad is pleased to announce its third multi-disciplinary fest SYMINARET’20 being conducted on 6th and 7th March 2020. As a part of this annual fest of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, we are organising the 1st Online Bill Drafting Competition with the aim of providing a thought-provoking and knowledgeable experience blended with practical exposure for law students and students aspiring to become lawyers.
Acid attack is possibly the worst infliction on another human thereby, leading to complete debilitation, loss of income and opportunity, and even social sequestration. happen to anyone, at any time.
Acid attacks have shocked the conscience of our nation again and again – with mutilated faces, unbeaten survivors who have made headlines to share their horrific stories, and families driven to bankruptcy supporting recovery costs. The Indian Penal Code was modified in 2013 for the first time to add regulations tailored to acid attacks. But, is this law efficient enough to curb this menace?
This Online Bill Drafting Competition seeks to bring a law which is stricter not only in terms of punishment upon commission but also to act as a deterrent to those who intend to attempt such heinous offence.
All the interested participants are required to register themselves individually or in a team of two members by filling the Google Form given here.
A registration fee of Rs. 200/- is applicable to every participant registering individually and Rs. 350/- for team registration, the payment details of which are to be uploaded in the Registration Form.

Cash Prize and certificates shall be awarded to Winner and the 1st Runner-Up amounting to Rs. 2500 and Rs. 1500 respectively. All the participants shall be provided with an e-certificate.
