One Year Post Graduate Diploma in Patents Law

Patents law is an area, which needs the close collaboration of the inventors with that of the professional lawyers to successfully file for a patent, and hence those inventors need to know the basic principles of law to communicate with the lawyer about the technical aspect in a legal language.

Therefore the target groups of learners include policy makers, researchers, technical and legal professionals.

The Patents Law course for technical and legal professionals has been designed to disseminate the Indian Patent Law on one hand and the comparative regime in developed countries on other-hand, as Patenting is a Universal phenomenon not restricted to national space.

In the Indian context, the print media and its interface with Law has a long tradition, whereas broadcasting sectors of Radio and Television and emerging new Media of the Internet is still an evolving one. The Media practitioners, Lawyers, Educationists relating to Mass Communications need to understand the Legal Framework that is operational and the emerging debate of restructuring such legal framework.

One-Year Post Graduate Diploma on Animal Protection

“Animal law,” includes in its aegis the issues that affect humans and animals alike and enfolds the concepts of “animal welfare,” and “animal rights.”

One of the fastest growing fields of legal practice, animal law may involve issues of constitutional law, administrative law, environmental law, consumer protection law, etc.

One-Year Post Graduate Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution

Disputes are a part of human association. Legally speaking, when one person makes a claim against the other based on a certain law or legal principle, and the other person denies the claim, there is a dispute.

The term Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) refers to a range of methods and processes of dispute resolution. Significantly, these methods are very rapidly transforming from mere ‘alternatives’ into preferred methods of resolving disputes.

Eligibility for all the above mentioned courses

Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent Degree in any discipline from any recognized University.


Candidates who complete three years of their 5-year integrated LLB Degree programme in Law are also eligible to apply.


Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Graduation/Engineering are also eligible to apply.

In such a case, the admission will be subject to the submission of the passing certificate of the qualifying examination on or before September 30, 2019.

The Online portal for submitting the ‘Online Application Form’ for admission shall be open from April 29, 2019, to July 1, 2019.

The duly certified hard copy of the submitted ‘Online Application Form’ along with the enclosures listed below shall reach ‘The Directorate of Distance Education, NALSAR University of Law, Justice City, Shameerpet, Medchal District, Hyderabad – 500101; Telangana, India’ within 10 days from the date of submission of online application.
