About the Competition
Nyayshastram is organising the 1st Nyayshastram National Article Writing Competition, 2020.
Those enrolled in 3 years or 5 years of Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Social Sciences
There is no restriction on the theme. However, submissions must be based on contemporary socio-legal issues.
Other qualified entries up to Tenth Rank will be published and provided with a Certificate of Appreciation
E-certificates will be provided to all the participants
Note: Criteria for Evaluation includes Content, Uniqueness, Grammar & Writing-style.
Last date for registration: 16th May 2020
Last date for submission: 18th May 2020
Results will be announced in the first week of June
The word limit should not exceed 1500-2000 words (excluding footnotes and the abstract).
An abstract of not more than 250 words should be included.
A uniform mode of citation should be followed throughout the article.
Plagiarism limit is 15%.
Once submitted, the entry becomes the property of Nyayashastram’s Board of Editors.
Entries with policy-recommendations will be given preference.
Co-authorship is allowed to a maximum of 2 authors.
All entries shall be mailed at nyayshastram[at]gmail.com with the mail subject “Submission of Entry” and with a separate cover letter providing Name, Institutional Affiliation, Year of Study, Degree Pursuing, Contact details: Mobile and Email address.
Co-authors to the entries are allowed. There can be a maximum of 2 co-authors per submission. However, they will have to register separately (sending separate mail with the screenshot of payment).
The final submission can be made by one of the authors.
Co-author to the winning entry, if any, shall equally benefit from the Prize (The cash prize shall have to be shared).
How to Register?
There shall be a nominal registration fee of Rs. 100/- per participant (Co-authors will have to register separately).
