About the Law School & the Moot
School of Law, The NorthCap University in association with RostrumLegal is proud to announce the VIth edition of the National Moot Court Competition on 6th – 7th April, 2019. NCU Law School aspires to create lawyers who are comfortable and skilled in ‘dealing’ with the differing legal systems and cultures that make up our global community while remaining strong in one’s own national legal system.
It is one of the few occasions that the moot competition, conducted annually, is being held on a pressing issue of environmental law every year for which it has been conferred with the title of “Indian Stetson”.
Law schools/Colleges/ Institutes/ Universities, recognized by the Bar Council of India, are eligible to participate in the MCC. The participants should currently be pursuing their Bachelor’s degree in law i.e., Three Year or Five Year Law Courses. Students who have completed their law courses are not eligible to participate in the competition.
Only one team can register from a particular law school/College/ Institution/University to participate in the MCC.
Only those members designated as Speakers will be permitted to put forth oral arguments in the Competition.
Teams are supposed to complete provisional registration by 25th February, 2019 registering online at https://ncumoot.com/registration/
There’s no limitation on the number of teams participating in NMCC 2019, However, the registration is done in due date, Participating teams will be confirmed about their participation by an e-mail on 26th February, 2019.
The selected teams are required to submit a soft copy of the Registration Form, Travel Form and Demand Draft of participation fee of Rs. 3500/- (Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred Only) drawn in favour of “THE NORTHCAP UNIVERSITY” payable at Gurugram/New Delhi on or before 01st March, 2019.

Last Date to seek Clarifications: 01st March, 2019
Last Date for sending the Registration Form and the Demand draft (soft copy): 01st March, 2019
Last Date for submitting soft copy memorials: 25th March, 2019
Last Date for sending the Registration Form and the Demand draft (hard copy): 31st March, 2019
Preliminary Rounds: 06th April, 2019
Final Round & Valedictory: 07th April, 2019
