We are pleased to inform you that the Centre for Disability Law and Advocacy (CDLA), a research and training initiative of the National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack in collaboration with the Government of Odisha is pleased to organize a one day ‘Symposium on Disability Rights and Equality’ (SDRE) on the 19th of April, 2015.
Being a sensitive student community, it is inherently our duty to respect and support our friends and colleagues who are differently-abled in some way or the other.
Through CDLA, we are trying to establish an environment in the University where every person’s contribution towards the issues specifically linked to our differently-abled friends, counts.
The Symposium is aimed at diversifying the objectives of CDLA on a national basis where the primary discussion would evolve around the legal issues concerning the rights of the differently-abled in order to bring them forth to the mainstream.
Your participation would reflect university’s conducive environment for fellow differently abled friends and colleagues at NLUO.
In this regard, you are requested to register for the Symposium, details of which are provided with the brochure herein attached with the mail.
Further, students are also welcome to submit their write-ups for getting it published in the first ever Newsletter of the CDLA. Also the write-ups shall bear an ISSN No.
The write ups can be in the form of short articles based on the following four themes:
1) Disability Rights: Law & Policy in India
2) Social Inclusion of Persons Living With Disability (PLWD)
