NLSIU Animal Protection PIL Competition 2018 [April 13-15, Bangalore]: Register by March 10

NLSIU Animal Protection PIL Competition

The society for Non-Human Persons (SNHP) at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore will be hosting the Second edition of the Humane Society International/India Presents NLSIU Animal Protection PIL Competition, 2018 from the 13th -15th April, 2018.

This competition will be held over two stages: memorial qualification round and oral rounds.

The NLSIU Animal Rights PIL Competition is to provide students all over India an opportunity to develop knowledge in the field of Animal Welfare Law and Constitutional law while honing their written and oral advocacy skills.

The dearth of interest in this field is owing to the lack of extra-curricular activities which provide a hands on experience with the law.

The aim of this competition in India, is not only to generate legal interest in students, but also legitimize this field of law as a more accessible career option while promoting Judicial Activism.

A maximum of three teams from one university are allowed to participate in the event. University teams can register for the event here.

Cross university teams can register for the event here.
