The Cell for Studies in Media Law of NLIU Bhopal is organising a lecture on ‘Human Rights and Media’ by Padma Shri award (2011) recipient, Professor Upendra Baxi. Professor Baxi, currently Professor of Law in Development, University of Warwick, served as Professor of Law, University of Delhi, Vice Chancellor, University of South Gujarat and and Honorary Director, The Indian Law Institute.
He was also the President of the Indian Society of International Law.
This lecture is organized with the main objective of initiating discourse and discussion on issues of utmost importance such as free speech and expression.
It will be held on the 19th of September, Saturday at 4 P.M. in the auditorium of National Law Institute University, Kerwa Dam road.
There is no fees for attending the lecture nor will there be any certificates handed out as this lecture is open to anyone who wishes to attend it.
