How Did You Apply?
I mailed my CV and my SOP on the mail id given i.e., admin@navjyoti.org.in. I was aware of the FAMILY COUNSELLING CENTRE run by this NGO so, I specifically mentioned that “I am willing to intern in Family counselling centre”. They replied within 2 working days and sent me some points which stated the documents needed to be sent to them.
I completed those formalities and received a reply confirming my internship under Ms Prem Soni in Family Counselling Centre.
First Day
My interaction with my mentor started over a phone call and she gave me a brief about the working of the NGO by asking me some general questions.
She filled me up with the Journey of DR. KIRAN BEDI, FOUNDER of Navjyoti India Foundation.
Main Tasks
The task was not too much, just to analyse the approached family matters and help my mentor in solving those. At the end of the day, the task was to write down daily work in a file. Performance after the completion of the internship was evaluated based on the same.
Good Things
I got a really good experience in building my knowledge about various works of this NGO, got inspired from DR. KIRAN BEDI’S journey.
Bad Things
I interned there as an online intern, may have left things that an intern could learn in an in-office (offline) internship.
