About the 2 Year MA in Animal Protection Laws

The Animal Law Centre at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad in collaboration with the Humane Society International/India has launched India’s first academic course on animal protection laws.

The two-year MA program is going to be adistance-learning course with a few contact classes every semester.

Through this program, NALSAR aims to create experts be it lawyers or other professionals in allied sectors catering and specializing in the legal aspects of animal laws in India and on a global level.

The course participants would not only have a sound and strong foundation on legal and jurisprudential patterns of animal rights and animal welfare issues but will also be well-equipped to handle practical challenges faced on the ground concerning cruelty towards animals.

Course Fee

Rs. 60,000/- (Student needs to pay Rs.30,000 to register for the first year and another instalment of Rs. 30,000 when she/he is promoted to the second year.

After completing the first year, the student has the option of lateral exit with an Advanced Diploma in Animal protection Laws).

Admission Procedure

Direct Admission is subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria for the said course.
