The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) cordially invites participants to the 4 legal events to be conducted as a part of our annual literary, cultural and sports fest – NAALAM 2019. It is only natural that there would be some events connected to the law as a part of our fest, and these events have been designed to be easily accessible to all law students, and allow them to engage and test their legal acumen to the best of their capabilities. The events that will be organized are as follows :
Legal Drafting: A lawmaker has to keep in mind the people, different stakeholders, infrastructure and various other factors. Do you think you have what it takes to make the law? Well, then the Legal Drafting Competition at NAALAM 2019 is everything you’ve wished for and more! Legal Drafting: The theme for this year’s competition shall be “Rights of Refugees in India”. Judgment Writing: In this event, the student shall be expected to reach a well-reasoned conclusion and render a judgment by applying the law and approaching the facts from the point of view of a judge. Legal Quiz [Feb 16th]: As society changes the need for law arises and the need for awareness of this law arises as well. Having knowledge and spreading awareness about these laws are essential to protect the interests of society. The Legal Quiz is open to cross-institutional teams as well as lone wolves. Register here. Client Counselling[Feb 17th]: The Client Counseling competition addresses fundamental skills necessary for all successful attorneys, namely the ability to interview, counsel, and support a client through their legal issue. Competitors conduct an initial interview with a person playing the role of the client and then address both the client’s legal and non-legal needs. A team would consist of two participants. Registration is currently open at the aforementioned links and spot registration would also be entertained for the offline events. The registration fee for all legal events is Rs. 150/ head.
Kindly attach the proof of payment while completing registration. There is NO INSTITUTIONAL CAP for participation in any of the aforementioned events.
Outstation teams are required to inform us regarding their accommodation requirement beforehand, for which they will have to pay separately.
