My Virtual Internship experience with LAWGYSTIX

I have interned with LAWGYSTIX from December 2020 to February 2021. I got this wonderful opportunity by participating in the platform’s Just a 2 Min competition. I participated in that competition with my friend and we as a team stood as runners and we as a reward were offered with Internship with LAWGYSTIX. It began on 1st December 2020 formally. My first impression on the whole internship and on the team of LAWGYSTIX was mixed. I thought owing to my 3 years Law background I may not fit into the faster generation fellow interns. Here I should mention about my mentor in LAWGYSTIX, Apoorva. She is the one who judged us in the competition and now I got to know that she is one of the most important part of LAWGYSTIX. Day 1 went out with a great conversation with Apoorva and Munis (coordinator of teams and in charge of allocation of work to interns). They explained about how work is done under their supervision and what their key projects are to me and my friend. They have left us the choice to choose our own willing project to work on and we have chosen the English book LAWGYSTIX is preparing for all legal aspirants. This whole conversation made us relieved from our superstitious doubts and the good thing was it is never formal. It just went on like a normal conversation where both Apoorva and Munis both warmly accepted our suggestions to the current projects and clarified our questions with utmost patience.

The internship started from the next day and we helped the project on English book with Legal expressions, Idioms and Proverbs, Legal Terminology, Latin terms and Medico legal terms. Our work is to compile all the available literature related to the above fields and to make a word document under different heads. It was fun doing the compilation and during the process I have learnt so many new words and new terminologies especially related to Law field which we don’t regularly find in text books.

The best thing about interning with LAWGYSTIX is the flexibility people get during the course of journey. When the internship started I thought it can be completed without any interruptions. To prove me wrong my exams of distance education and 5th semester of law were scheduled in December and January respectively. I asked for the permission and it was granted in minutes. This is the best thing I was talking about and such flexibility without any conditions is not easy to find especially in online platforms.

I again joined the work after my exams and I requested to change of project. Now I am shifted to article writing. Being a law student I thought article writing is simple. But here is the brilliance of LAWGYSTIX come into the play. The topics on which we have to write are personally assigned by Munis and to my astonishment all the articles are wonderful and current topics covering several fields of social studies. I have interned with few other organizations but this phase of internship with LAWGYSTIX is the best among all of them. It gave me a lot of exposure and chance to prove my writing abilities. We were asked to write every day evaluation of them is done in the very same day by the team. Overall it’s a great experience and if I have chance to do it I will do it again.
