MATS Law School is organizing a guest lecture on “Patent Rights and Access to Medicines during Covid Pandemic” on August 28th at 2:30 PM on MS Teams.

About the Lecture

MATS Law School is organizing a guest lecture on “Patent Rights and Access to Medicines during COVID Pandemic” by G. R. Raghavender, Joint Secretary, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice

In this lecture, he will be covering the patent rights of pharmaceutical companies especially when medicine has been invented to tackle the situations of pandemics and patient’s right to access those medicines.

Speaker

G. R. Raghavender Sir is a civil servant from Central Secretariat Service (CSS) 1988. At present, he is posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India, New Delhi. Previously, he was Joint Secretary in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, New Delhi from August 2015 to January 2017. He also held additional charge of the Director General, National Productivity Council (NPC) from November 2015 to May 2016.
