Law School Admission Global (LSAC-Global) is pleased to announce the 2nd DLI Moot Court Competition for Law aspirants in India. So, all 11th and 12th graders are invited to rise up to the challenge and register now!

About the Moot Court Competiton

Law schools organize Moot Competitions to train law students in reasoning, argument, and legal analysis. These competitions teach students to explore both sides of an argument, learn to present their conclusions coherently and improve their written and oral communication.

LSAC Global is providing this opportunity to law aspirants through the 2nd Moot Court Competition for Law Aspirants on 13th and 14th November 2021. This competition aims to provide a challenging and yet fun experience of the courtroom to law aspirants to help them develop their analytical, critical reasoning and advocacy skills without the need to have legal knowledge or any legal training.

An interactive event that will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about the legal system and what it is like to be a lawyer. The participants will be analyzing the factual matrix of the situation provided and arguing on the same.

Objective of the Moot Court Competiton

LSAC Global is conducting this competition with the objective of improving the communication skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities of law aspirants. This will help in exposing High School students to the nuances of the court system in India and provide real-life experience and training in presenting relevant oral and written arguments.

Eligibility

  • The competition is open to all school students currently in grade 11, 12 or who are yet to be enrolled into a law school.
  • Student confident in debating and public speaking with proficient communication skills in English language, logical reasoning, and critical thinking.

How to Register?

Interested participants, fulfilling the eligibility criteria are required to register for the event by completing this google form and providing their details.

Interested students can register for the event till 5thNovember 2021. All participants will be required to submit a Memorial on 11thNovember after due training is provided to them.

Preliminary rounds will be conducted on 13thNovember for the shortlisted students and the winner of each preliminary round will qualify for the final round on 14th Nov.

There is no registration fee for participating in this competition.

Awards

Certificate of Participation

E-certificate of Participation will be awarded to all the students who will register, successfully submit the memorials on the due date and appear for the oral rounds on the event date.

Certificate of Merit

Prizes on Merit include a Medal and E-certificate under each of the following categories:

  • Winner
  • Runners-up
  • Best Written Argument and Memorial
  • Best Speaker

Important Dates

  • Registration for the Moot court event: 07 October – 05 November 2021
  • Mentoring/Training Session: 08 November – 10 November 2021
  • Memorial Submission: 11 November 2021
  • Allotment of Side: 12 November 2021
  • Preliminary Round: 13 November 2021
  • Final Round: 14 November 2021
