They have two office: at Delhi and at Mumbai. I’m a Delhite but choose to take up the internship at their Mumbai office.

Please apply at least 3-4 months in advance.

If you do not get a reply, follow up with them.

Duration of Internship and timings

June 27th, 2016 – July 25th, 2016

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

I had to reach the office at 10.00, but I have so excited that I reached almost 2 hours before the reporting time. Its not madness, just new city fears you can say. 😛

I was asked to fill up the internship details form and attached two passport size photos. Thereafter, Rashmibhai Patel Sir, who handles the interns related issue, introduced me to the partners and associates. All the associates and partners can allot you tasks, there are no teams as such.

The IT guy will set your wifi thing only for your laptop. There is no wifi facility otherwise. It is huge firm with a rich source of commentaries, book and bare acts.

Main tasks

Main tasks were:

1. Research Work

2. Preparing Write ups

3. Court Visits

4. Drafting

5. Briefing

IMPORTANT: Never take work from two associates, at the same time that will land you in a serious trouble. You can inform them about the work you already have in hand. Don’t try to be a super hero. 🙂

Work environment and people

Associates are strict but they’re friendly. They are very professional when it comes to work.

Just complete your work on time and you’ll maintain that ‘acha bacha’ waali image.

Don’t get too frank with your associates.

Best things

There is lots to learn at Little & Co. Please make the most of it by doing as many tasks as possible.

At the end of the internship, they gave a mug with ‘Little & Co’ written on it. It was a really sweet gesture. Made amazing friends. Mumbai people are too cool.

And, visiting Bombay High Court was pure bliss! It is so dreamy 😀

Bad things

No bad things about this internship.

No stipend

Biggest Lessons

Creating a rapport with your seniors is very important. Construct a professional mindset.

You should be in a habit of sitting for too long if you wanna intern at a firm. Going and getting work is the best way.

I am a Delhite and had a tough time finding a PG in Mumbai for a month. As I had a friend from Delhi already staying in Mumbai, I got some space in her house for my internship month! 😛

But she was staying in Andheri West and the Firm was in South Bombay! Gosh, had to travel by the local. But But But, it was totally worth it.

Office Timings

10.00 A.M. to 7.00 P.M. They are strict with the arrival timings but you can leave by 6 or 6.30 if your work is done. You might have to stay back if there is a lot of work pending.
