About the competition:

MDU- CPAS was formerly known as UILMS established in 2000 as National Law College is the maintained Centre of M.D.

Moreover the objective of MDU- Center for Professional and Allied Studies National Law Fest, 2019 is to home the academic excellence in the student community concerning the rights of people, and to develop their advocacy and research skills in an environment of friendly competition.

The competition also aims to provide a platform for law students to exhibit their argumentation skills which are the core part of advocacy.

MDU- CPAS, Gurugram, Sec- 40 is elated to announce its 1st LEX FETE’ 19, which includes 2nd National Moot Court Competition, Essay Writing Competition, Judgement Writing Competition and  Drafting Competition.

Sitting Judges, Practising Advocates, Academicians and Experts in the field of law shall be invited to adjudicate the competition.

Eligibility:

All the students enrolled in three or five year LLB Courses from any Law College/ Institution/University recognised by the Bar Council of India.

Venue and date:

MDU- CPAS, Gurugram, sec- 40, Haryana from 12th- 14th April 2019.

Registration:

Each team can register provisionally by mailing to mducpasnmcc[a]gmail.com with the subject as “Registration: National Moot Court Competition, 2019”.

Registration is strictly on first come first serve basis on or before April 1st, 2019, by 23:59 hrs.

To complete the process of registration, all participating teams are required to submit the completed registration form, duly signed and stamped by the Head of Institution/Principal/ Head of Department along with the Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 5000/-, on mducpasnmcc[a]gmail.com.

Team size: Every participating team must consist of min. 2 members and max. 3 members.

Theme:

Competition is mostly based on the Hindu Marriage Act and Foreign Judgements.

Prizes:

  • 1st prize Rs. 11000
  • 2nd prize Rs. 7500
  • Best advocate, memorial, researcher Rs. 5000
  • Best Essay Rs. 2500
  • Drafting Competition Rs 2500
  • Judgement Writing Competition Rs 2500
Important Dates:
  • 1st April 2019- last date for submission of the soft copy of registration form along with DD.
  • 5th April 2019- last date for submission of hard copy of registration form along with DD.
  • 5th April April 2019- last date for submission of Essay.
  • 10th April 2019- last date for submission of the soft copy of memorial.
