Everyone knows of Professor Amita Dhandha from NALSAR and what a stalwart she is. On her retirement from NALSAR recently, all her students have put together this heart-melting, super warm odes to her teaching. Read this to see the change a teacher makes in the lives of students, and get inspired to inspire a generation as Prof. Dhandha has done.
The website is called ‘Let’s Problematise: A tribute to Prof. Amita Dhanda—with love, from her students.’ You can visit the website here.
Prof. Dhanda started her career in 1984 as a researcher at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. She joined NALSAR in 1999. In July this year, Prof. Dhanda was made Professor Emerita at NALSAR University. She is the first amongst the University’s Faculty to be given this honour. As per Wikipedia, the title of Emerita “…remains a mark of distinguished service, awarded only to a few on retirement“. You can read her full profile here.
I was grinning ear to ear reading the heartfelt posts here. It made me think that if one could create even 1% of the impact that Prof. Dhandha had created, it would have been a fulfilling life. Here are a few screenshots of the messages students have written.
